In 2007, through the United Methodist Hour, Shane created The Serving Initiative as a
way of both celebrating and lifting up the power and potential of serving in Christ.

The MAJI Project

Partnering with Church World Service, a relief, development, and refugee assistance
ministry supported by The United Methodist Church and other denominations, You may
purchase items for the under resources throughout the world.

Items include:

Re hydration kits which hydrates ten children for $10.00.

School kits are $12.00 and provide essential school supplies for a child.

Health kits provide basic and vital health supplies for families at a cost to you of $25.00.

Food Packets feed a family of 5 for a month by sending your contribution of $72.00.

You may send your check or money order made out to The United Methodist Hour to PO.
Box 16657, Harrisburg, MS 39404. Be sure to mark your contribution clearly as "The
Serving Initiative."

these kits. We look forward to many more opportunities for service through The United
Methodist Hour Serving Initiative.
